Research on Connotative Development Index System of Higher Education Institution

After a decade of progressive development practice, the development model of higher education institutions of our country turns to connotationoriented development again. Nowadays, the connotative development theory mainly focuses on people orientation, scientific orientation and the meet to the diversified quality requirement of higher education. Important factors that promote the connotative development of higher education institutions include advanced education ideology, perfect system and cultural environment, permissive education model and creative talent-training method. This paper illustrates connotative development and transformation of higher education by tracking back its expansion during the past 30 years of reform and opening-up. It integrates many arguments regarding higher education quality, sets qualitative standards of connotative development, and constructs indexing system to evaluate connotative development. The index system is assessed from six dimensions, including education target, education system, education cultural environment, recourse utilization ratio, education and talent calculation, research achievement and social service, so that it will provide scientific guide for decision and practice of improving educating quality of higher education institutions in our school.
