Thinking and Practice on How to Conduct Joint Teaching of English for Specific Purpose

摘要：

Nowadays, one important objective of college education is to cultivate versatile talents. In the process of fulfilling such an objective successfully implementing English teaching for specific purposes will play an important role. The treatise expounds the importance of colleges offering English courses for specific purposes under the current situation, and the authors ideas and research on how colleges offer English courses for specific purposes, conduct intramural interdisciplinary joint teaching and intercollegiate joint teaching including the development of teaching materials, the cultivation of teachers and the manufacture of classware and the like. It can be concluded from the research that conducting joint teaching is an effective means of colleges developing English courses for specific purposes.
