Emphasize Human Quality and Reform Education in Foreign Language Majors
Education in foreign language majors is related to humanity. It not only needs to make sure students meet the requirements by the society, but also needs to develop students mind and imagination, improve their understanding of the relationships between the individual and the world, and help them understand the role a language plays in the culture and society. In view of this, based on teaching experience, the paper will explain the humanity nature of foreign languages, and discuss about the education reform through the goal of education, curriculum setup, teachers education, the role of students in the teaching, selection of textbooks, and class. Through these means, the education can help students develop critical thinking and noble human qualities such as social responsibility, and provide students with a possibility for comprehensive and sustainable developments.
