Analysis on the Subjectivity of Non-English Major Students in College English Learning

Since Holec imported the concept autonomous learning to the foreign language education in the 1980s, researchers home and abroad have conducted lots of studies of students subjectivity. But the main foci of these studies lie in its definition, analysis of the theoretical basis and the ways to foster learners subjectivity. Based on the theoretical foundation, the paper analyzes the features of subjectivity and focuses on the experimental study and analysis of non-English major students subjectivity, namely, the differences between art students and science students, the relationship between the level of subjectivity and English achievement. Then it aims to help college English teachers and students from the perspective of subjectivity performance in English learning.
