A Distributed Node Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Network Based on MDS and SDP
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have been applied to different scenarios. The distribution of the sensor nodes in these scenes are not always uniformly. A new localization algorithm based on multidimensional scaling (MDS) and semidefinite programming (SDP) is present in this paper. It is referred to as: Distributed Localization based on MDS and SDP (DIMS). The main idea of the algorithm is to construct several local positioning regions (LPRs) with reasonable distribution by an adaptive search algorithm, and merge the local maps together to form a global map. Simulation results show that DIMS has nice performance in sensor positioning accuracy, which can satisfy the demand of WSN-based applications.
