Research on the Nomadic Traditional Sports Culture in Xinjiang
The methods of literature and fieldwork were used in this paper to research the traditional sports culture of Kazakh, Kirgiz, Mongolian, Tajik in Xinjiang. The common traits of Xinjiang nomadic traditional sports are as follows: nomadic traditional sports still retain their primitive forms; horseback sport events are the features of nomadic traditional sports culture; the organization and rules of competition are relatively simple; antagonism sport events are in the dominated status; modern ways of life affect the development of traditional sports. The peculiarities of four nomadic traditional sports are as follows: the development of traditional sports were interwoven in the course of war and peace; the differences in national population and the number of traditional sports in the process of spread; the mutual complementarities of superiority and deficit in different national traditional sports; the uniqueness of national traditional behind the background of multi-lifestyle; the compatibility of assimilation and exclusion. The individual values of Xinjiang nomadic traditional sports are: the value of bodybuilding, the value of entertainment and competition. The social values of Xinjiangs nomadic traditional sports are: the value of moral education, national identity and economic development. Recommendations: consummating the disciplinary system of Xinjiang Nomadic traditional sport, enhancing the extent to protect and excavate national traditional sport events.
