An Empirical Study of Wuhan Urban Populations Phases of Physical Activity
Based on the Phase Change Questionnaires conducted among the urban population in Wuhan, this study tries to examine the suitability of the Transtheoretical Model on urban populations physical activity, and by conducting ANOVA it aims to find out the different phases of urban populations physical activity and the psychological factors involved. The following conclusions are offered: first, the construct validity and internal consistency reliability of the Phase Change Questionnaires achieved ideal level. Second, the subjects cover all the five phases of the physical activity and the distribution is not average. The majority of them dont do physical activity at all. Subjects differ from the following psychological factors: self-efficacy, decisional balance and process of change.
