An Energy Sharing Charge Equalization module for Series Connected Lithium-ion Battery String
An energy sharing charge equalization scheme for series connected lithium-ion battery strings is proposed in this paper. The equalization energy of the proposed equalizer,which was converted from many cells with higher voltage than the average value in the battery string,stored in multi-winding transformer for low cells sharing and charging to increase their capacity. The equalization efficiency and speed of the proposed scheme are higher than that of convenience methods. Simultaneously,this paper also proposes a modularized charge equalization converter. Experimental and simulation results verify that the proposed equalization scheme has good cell voltage-balancing performances.
