Classification of Metamorphic Relations and Its Application
Metamorphic testing is an effective technology to alleviate the oracle problem in software testing. However,on the problem of designing metamorphic relations according to specification of software or property of algorithm,there havent any useful rules for the practitioners to follow. In this paper,the classification of metamorphic relations is analyzed and generalized systematically,and the relevant cases are provided to illustrate these different kinds of relations individually. In actual operation,practitioners can choose the right metamorphic relations according to this classification,it will decrease purposeless work and improve test efficiency.
