Image Registration in Adaptive Optics Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope
An image acquisition system for adaptive optics confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscope (AOSLO) is designed,and a registration technique is proposed to improve the image quality. An image registration algorithm known as Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) is used to abstract and match point features of the AOSLO images. With the matched points,an affine transformation is used to eliminate the retinal motion,and five images are co-added to improve the image quality. The computational complexity of the proposed algorithms is low,and the average computation time is only approximately 460ms.
