Dynamics Simulation and Optimization for the Mechanism of 5R-P
This study first establishes a mathematical model of 5R-P dynamics with the closed-loop vector method and the free-body diagram,then the corresponding M functions are written,at the same time,the 5R-P dynamic simulation model is built by virtue of Matlab/Simulink. From the simulation,the displacement,velocity and acceleration curves of slider can be obtained on condition that the appropriate initial conditions are set beforehand. By applying different external torques,the system can simulate the control of the motor. Second,the solid model of 5R-P mechanism is established by using the software named Recurdyn,and the same initial conditions are also set to get the corresponding motion curves,which are used to compare with the results,that are got from the dynamic simulation model. The above comparison verifies the correctness of the mathematical model. Using Matlab/Simulink to set up a mathematical simulation model has the advantages of easy parameter modification,high solution efficiency,convenience and intuition. Finally,Taguchi method is introduced to this mechanism to optimize the design of each links length,and a more reasonable combination of each links length allows the 5R-P mechanism to perform better.
