A Kind of Reach Extender in Passive Optical Network

摘要：

Passive Optical Network (PON) technology has been regarded as having the best perspective among all optical access network technologies. However,in PON,the transmission reach is shorter and the coverage is smaller than Active Optical Fiber Access System (AOFAS). This paper constructs a kind of Reach Extender (RE) in PON with the ability to extend the reach and the split ratio of PON. Tt is a menningfl and prectical technical improvement to reduce the cost of the construction and operation massively.
