A Light-weight Stream Cipher for Wireless Sensor Networks

A wireless sensor network can be particularly vulnerable to security attacks lacking physical boundaries to the environment. In contrast with conventional networks,wireless sensor networks has constrained energy reserves,so data encryption in sensor networks should consume as little energy as possible. In this paper,we propose a light-weight stream cipher using fundamental arithmetic instructions. Compared to existing public or symmetric key based schemes,our proposed method is considerably more energy-friendly.
