A New Mobile Location Algorithm Using Residual Weighting for NLOS Error Mitigation
The None Line of Sight (NLOS) transmission resulted by the temporal and spatial variations of the channel is a vital issue faced to mobile location techniques. This paper presents a new residual weighted mobile location algorithm based on the characteristic of WCDMA and the time of arrival (TO A) of the wireless signal. Different distributed NLOS error is utilized to research the performance of this approach. Results show that this new algorithm can efficiently reduce the influence of the NLOS error,and is robust to different distributed NLOS error. The location accuracy has been greatly improved.
