A Simple and Effective Design for Fabricating Dual-wavelength DFB Semiconductor Laser
A dual-wavelength semiconductor laser,which is consisted of two groups of multiple quantum wells (MQW) separated by a tunnel-junction layer,is proposed. Relying on equivalent phase shift (EPS) sampled Bragg grating (SBG),each MQW can emit single longitudinal mode (SLM) laser with different wavelength. The proposed laser,which can be fabricated by multiple epitaxial growth technology,can be used for microwave generation and remote sensing.
