Simulation and Experiment of Adaptive Optics in 2.5Gbps Atmospheric Laser Communication
A numerical simulation and an experiment on adaptive optics (AO) in 2.5Gbps laser communication system are introduced in this paper. The simulation results show that the signal fading is mitigated at a large part with AO correction. The experiment results show that the average bit-error-rate (BER) is 6×10-3 without AO correction. The average BER will be reduced to 1×10-4 with AO tiptilt correction. And there is no bit-error in 120s with AO high order correction.
