Regional Trade Agreements and/or The Multilateral Trading System Based on Evolutionary Game
The multilateral trading system which takes the form of WTO and the regional trade agreements are two kinds of arrangements as to economic cooperation. But there are obvious contradiction between the two, as the multilateral trading system pursue fair and open, while the regional trade arrangement make favorable treatments among its member states. As per the evolutionary game theory, both arrangements are of the nature dynamic, then it is the cost and benefit that decide what to do, and the change in information will bring changes in the equilibrium reached before. And finally the paper concludes that the two arrangements will co-exist for a long time.
