An Analysis on Return on Investment of Wind Power Industry in Gansu Province
The development of wind power industry in Gansu Province is faced with the problem of unbalance between investment costs and benefits. A modeling analysis based on cost-benefit analysis shows that there are two economic factors restricting on the sustainable development of wind power industry in Gansu. One is that high costs restrict increase in the value of wind power investment; the other is that relatively low prices of wind power cannot attract the broad participation of social funds. To lower the cost of wind power, we shall promote wind power equipment localization, build up wind power station in places rich in wind resources, raise the annual rate of capital recovery, and broaden the financing channel for wind power industry, so as to achieve the goal of lowering the cost of wind power equipment, and make effective use of investment in the industry. As for the relatively low prices of wind power, we shall constantly improve the pricing mechanism of wind power and make good use of investment in the industry.
