Mineral resources division and development potentials analysis of Tibetan Plateau
with the rapid increase of Chinese economics and the international resources shortage, the Tibetan Plateau minerals development has already been greatly necessary towards the economic development and resources security of China. Therefore, relevant research has been done in this article to make mineral divisions and potential analysis which is the important foundation for the substantial minerals development of Tibetan Plateau. Generally speaking, the research began with the mathematical statistics of relevant geological data including mineral investigation degree, mineral abundance, number of ore deposits and local economic and population conditions. Then, GIS spatial analysis would be used then to decide which areas would be the key to be investigated and developed. Finally, based on those conclusions potential development analysis was made. In a word, from this research, the traditional mineral development model of Tibetan Plateau is suggested to be changed. It could be newly found that only through reasonable mineral development analysis according to specific conditions in different areas; a real substantial development model could be formed towards Tibetan mineral resources.
