Study on Antioxidant Activity of Calligonum Beverage
A preliminary study on Calligonum beverage antioxidant activity with chemical model system was carried out. DPPH method, FRAP method, FolinCiocalteus method were used to determine the DPPH- radical scavenging, total antioxidant activity and total phenol content of Calligonum beverage respectively. The results showed that DPPH-radical scavenging rate was 36.10% and the antioxidant capacity at this time is equivalent to 152 mg/L of BHT with 40 times dilution of the sample, when diluted for 20 times, the total antioxidant capacity is equivalent to 94.2211 mol/L of FeSO4 and the total phenol content is equivalent to 14.93 li g/L of gallic acid. Calligonum Beverage, therefore, a strong antioxidant beverage, has a broad development prospect.
