Significant Changes in Newly-published IEC Standard about Surge Protective Device

摘要：

This paper compared the newly-published IEC standards, IEC 61643-11：2011《Low-voltage surge protective devices - Part 11: Surge protective device connected to low-voltage power systems –Requirements and test methods》, with the old version standard IEC 61643-1:2005.The significant changes in the content and the corresponding cause were presented in this paper.With this paper, the SPD manufacturers, SPD testing laboratories and SPD users could learn the changes in the new standard and grasp new requirements and test methods quickly.
