Lightning Coupling Analysis with S-MRTD Based on Compactly Supported and Interpolation Bases
Although the multi-resolution time domain scheme (MRTD) has been applied successfully in many areas, it’s complicated implementation disappointed the researchers a lot.However, there is such a kind of S-MRTD, which based on the scaling functions with compactly supported and interpolation characters, bringing a lot of convenience to the implementation of boundary conditions and the modeling of inhomogeneous media.In this paper, we introduce this scheme to analyze the lightning coupling problem.For this purpose, we reconsider the update algorithm of the anisotropic perfectly matched layers (APML) and the system to introduce the incident wave as well in a relatively simple and clear form using the suggested S-MRTD.By computing the coupling of a thin wire to the lightning pulse, the efficiencies and advantages of the scheme are proved.
