Catastrophe Gathers Love, Love Concerns Gender——Several Thoughts of Sichuan Womens Federation After Participation in the Relief and Reconstruction Work in 5.12 Earthquake
In China, natural disasters are high frequency and heavy losses. Therefore it is important to enhance awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation and to improve its mechanism. Facing the natural disasters, womens federations should have gender awareness and take the initiative to assume the particular responsibility for women and children, by which love can be gathered in catastrophe and the cause for women and children can be further promoted.
