Researches on the Protection of Hometown-remaining WivesMarriage Rights
Hometown-remaining Wives are a special group that appears along with Chinas economic modernization; their marriages have also changed in the new situation. Using survey research method, through detailed investigation, we find hometown-remaining wives have faced marriage crisis, high divorce rate and weak right protection. This issue will affect stability of family, rural area and the whole society. In order to strengthen the protection for hometown-remaining wives, this paper suggests several methods such as laws publicity, modification of the legislations and establishing the early warning mechanism etc.
