The Application of VMI in Automobile Manufacturing SCM Based on Information System Integration

摘要：

With IT technology and the rapid development of automobile manufacturing management theory, automobile manufacturing purchasing and inventory management strategy have changed greatly. A Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) has emerged. It has evolved the multi-level and complex circulation channel among the early traditional supply, storage and manufacture into a -way that suppliers operate by a third party logistics to manufacturers. It reflects the supply chain integration management thoughts and realizes very short-time replenishment and high accuracy. It has adapted to the lean production requirements of the manufacturers.
