Research on Connotation of CSR of Foreign-funded Enterprises Under the Perspective of Chinas Economic Transition
CSR (corporation social responsibility) has different connotations in different countries or in the same country at different economic development stage. China is experiencing economic transition, and the realization of CSR ensures achieving successful economic transition and establishing harmonious environment. At this moment, its necessary to define the CSR of foreign-funded enterprises which have been an indispensable part of Chinese economy. This paper takes Carrolls stakeholders-social responsibility matrix as theoretical foundation, summarizes the characteristics of economic status and CSR of foreign-funded enterprises in Chinas economic transition period, and elaborates the connotation of CSR of foreign-funded enterprises from five dimensionalities (that is, economic responsibility, legal responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility, and environmental responsibility) and seven aspects (stakeholders, customers, employees, governments, communities, business partners, and other non-governmental organizations), which will help foreign-funded enterprises perform CSR practically and make contribution for the development of global economy and common prosperity of human society.
