Experimental Study on Combined Dispersion of Alumina- MWCNT in Water and Investigation of Convective Heat Transfer Performance

The study focuses on the investigation on mixed convection behaviours for water base combined nanofluids of MWCNTs and AI2O3. The percentage of mixed nanoparticles in the base fluid was in the range of 2% to 6% in weight. The weight percentage of MWCNTs was below 0.5%. The augmentation of heat transfer increases with increasing the fraction of nanoparticles in base fluid. New combined nanofluids characteristics were compared with single type nanofluids under laminar flow regime. The concept of combined nanofluids may have some good attitude against forming agglomeration as well as having increased thermal conductivity. It can be said the result and characteristics of new nanofluids will have some significant influence over the field of heat transfer.
