The experimental study of droplets impact on solid surface

A series of experiments was performed to investigate the different droplets impact on plat and inclined surfaces with various angles. Interaction of a falling liquid droplet with a solid surface (impact, spreading, recoiling, and bouncing) was studied by using a high-speed digital camera. Experimental data on dynamics of a droplet impact on flat and inclined surfaces are reported over a Reynolds number and Weber numbers. From the experimental results, we know that droplet which with higher initial speed will be easier to bouncing; meanwhile, the smaller of the liquid viscosity, the bigger of the maximum relative diameter of the droplets can be obtained, and the spreading speed is slower.
