The Development of Empirical Correlation Equation at Convection Heat Transfer Correlation on Vertical Cylinder Triangular Lattice Sub Channels

This paper describes the convection heat transfer uses a convensional fluid within a bundle of vertical sub channels. The objective of this research is to obtain a new empirical correlation equations for calculating heat transfer coefficients of natural convection heat transfer within a bundle of vertical cylinders triangular lattice sub channels. The empirical correlation equation can support the thermo-hydraulic analyses of research nuclear reactors that utilize cylindrical fuel rods. The empirical equation can also be used in designing of baffle-free vertical shell and tube heat exchangers that are commonly utilized in modern new generation LWR or HWR nuclear reactors. Fure water can be used as a coolant on varies energy conversion system, as well as for nuclear and automotive coolant system or air conditioner. The research are being done experimentally and analytically. A three dimensional finite volume numerical thermo-hydraulic analysis is utilized in designing experimental system that will be used in the research. On this experimental research obtains empirical correlation equations of natural convection heat transfer coefficients with triangular arrangement is Nu = 14.4710 (Ra.Dh/x) 0.0681
