The Development of TJE500FH Small Turbojet Engine
This paper describes the design and construction of a small turbojet engine with designed static thrust of 500 N at sea level standards. The main components of this small jet engine are single stage radial tipped vanes centrifugal compressor, annular combustion chamber and single stage axial turbine. This engine uses liquid fuel during its operation while gas fuel is used to start and accelerate the engine to its idle condition. The designed speed is 73,000 rpm. The air mass flow and compressor pressure ratio at its designed speed is 0.88 kg/s and 4.07 respectively. After its construction, the engine will be tested to find out its performance.
