Optimization of Ball Milling Pretreatment in Hydrogen Production with Straw Biomass
Took the reducing sugar yield that produced by the enzymolysis of the straw after ball milling crushing as reference, it showed that the reducing sugar yield after enzymolysis by corncob were the highest, which reaches 1171.94mg with saccharification rate of 46.88%, and is proved to be the best straw biomass type. Then we used DPS analysis software designing experiments to study the effect of straw biomasss milling conditions such as initial size of raw material, ball/powder weight ratio and milling time etc in the reducing sugar yield after enzymolysis And we obtained the optimal parameters for ball milling pretreatment of straw biomass used to produce hydrogen as follows: initial size of raw material, 0.45mm, ball/powder weight ratio, 20:1, milling time, 2h. These parameters are of great value to reduce the cost of hydrogen production and improve the efficiency of that process .
