Theoretical comparison of the heat pipe system of NH3/CO2 and the cascade system of NH3/CO2 in refrigeration
Based on the analyses of T-S and P-H diagram of the cascade refrigeration system of NH3/CO2 and the heat pipe refrigeration system of NH3/CO2, COP, the mass of NH3 and CO2 of the two systems were compared. The theoretically calculated results show that COP of the two systems has a maximum value, but the maximum value of COP of the cascade refrigeration system of NH3/CO2 is more easily affected by the working conditions than that of the heat pipe refrigeration system of NH3/CO2. And the middle temperature of 1.5° C is the distinguishing point of the COP of the two systems. As for the mass of CO2, the mass of the cascade refrigeration system of NH3/CO2 is larger than that of the heat pipe refrigeration system of NH3/CO2. But as for the mass of NH3, there is little difference between the two systems.
