Spatial Distribution of Heavy Metals in Surface Soil of Zhejiang Pinghu

In this paper, the spatial structure of heavy metals were quantitatively described to soil in Zhejiang Pinghu City based on statistical methods, and the main factors of the spatial structure of heavy metals were discussed in the study region. The results showed that the soil experimental variogram model fitted better in the study area in the 7 heavy metals of As, Cr, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn. Principal component analysis reflected the elements Pb, Zn, Cu, As, Cr and Ni distribution in a same component; and elemental Hg and Cd each a separate component. As social and economic development, urbanization into accelerated, aggravating of agricultural activities, industrial three wastes and the large number of vehicle exhaust emissions, excessively use of pesticides and fertilizers containing heavy metals, environmental pollution problems had become worse, heavy metal pollution was paying more and more attention 1. Soil was the basis for the survival of large crops, whose quality had a direct relates to food security. Pinghu located in Golden Yangtze River Delta region, and was an important grain-producing county in Zhejiang Province. How to survey in the area of soil pollution and objectively understand soil spatial distribution of heavy metals could provide an important reference for protecting the local food security.
