EXPERIMENTAL XPERIMENTAL STUDY ON AAAA SINGLE DROPLET IMPACT ON COLD PLATE SURFACE
Spray freezing-drying attracts new interest nowadays.In this process atomized droplets may collide with the wall, as will be a serious problem.In this paper, a single droplet impact on a solid surface of low temperature was investigated to know what phenomena occur.When contacting with the cold plate under different Weber number, the droplet spreads, retracts, rebounds (sometimes) and freezes on the surface.Using a high-speed camera we analyzed the effects of droplet’s size, impact velocity, and surface temperature on droplet spreading diameter and complete solidification time.
