NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF NATURAL CONVECTION IN POROUS MEDIUM SUBJECTED TO ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY USING THE LOCAL THERMAL NON-EQUILIBRIUM (LTNE) MODELS
The present work is numerically investigated natural convection of fluid in saturated porous medium under electromagnetic field. The porous medium is supposed to consist of water and spherical solid particle. The Brinkman-Forchheimer extended Darcy model for the momentum equation is employed, and two energy equations are solved with the local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE) models. The study aims at a comprehensive analysis of the influences of material properties, and electric field intensity on the transport processes in porous media. The results show that both effects have significant affect on the flow field and heat transfer in porous medium.
