EXERGY ANALYSIS ON A SMALL SOLAR WOOD DRIER WITH HEAT STORAGE FUNCTION

An exergy analysis model used to evaluate energy utilization in wood drying process was established in this paper for a small solar wood drying system with heat storage function.Base on the model, exergy analysis had been made.The test result showed that: under steady state (quasi-steady state) condition , the higher the temperature of drying medium, the higher the exergy utilization rate; Wood in 55℃ drying medium had a 29.9% higher exergy utilization rate than wood in 50℃ drying medium did with the same amount of heat; in paraffin heat storage system, with the accretion of air velocity, the exergy utilization rate increased.
