STUDIES ON DRYING KINETIC MODEL OF CABBAGE SEEDS WITH HEAT PUMP DRYING
Using experimental data of cabbage seeds with heat pump drying, twelve kinds of drying models were used with their coefficients and exponents fitted as constants, as functions of temperature of drying air, relative humidity of drying air, and both temperature and relative humidity of drying air to study influences of these two parameters to drying kinetics of cabbage seeds.Three statistical indices including relative percent error EMD, root mean square error ERMS, chi square χ2, were used as criteria to select optimum drying models.Results shows that, after considering influences of both temperature and humidity of drying air, most of the twelve models have attained better prediction precision, especially the modified Henderson and Pabis model and the two-term exponential model.The two-term exponential model has the lowest value of EMD equalling 6.94%, and the modified Handerson and Pabis model has the lowest values of ERMS and χ2, being 0.0152 and 0.0003, respectively.
