Fluidization Characteristics During Soprtion-Fluidized Bed Drying of Viscous Fermention Spent Liquor
In this study, the sorption fluidized bed drying of the spent liquor using corn bran as the carriers was conducted and parametric studies were carried out to investigate the effect the air inlet velocity, temperature, bed height, etc on the drying process. It found that Local channel flow occurs inside the fluidized bed.Higher air inlet velocity, air temperature, and lower bed height contribute to the early transferring from local channel flow into the full fluidization. The fluid flow and drying characteristic of the fluidized bed drying process can be reflected by the variation of the exit air relative humidity and temperature, and the bed pressure difference, which can be monitored easily using sensors.Knowledge obtained from this study is used to develop a more efficient drying technology for the spent liquor in next stage.
