A New Type of Electrostatic Sensor for Velocity Measurement of Gas/Solid Two-phase Flows
Electrostatic sensor is used in gas/solid two-phase flow measurement, because of its simple structure, high sensitivity, low cost, safety, etc. However, there are still some issues need to be further investigated and discussed, such as sensing structural optimization, measuring model simplification and verification, more practical electrostatic sensor research and development, etc. In this paper, a new structure of sensor is designed on the basis of circle electrostatic sensor. Threedimensional mathematical model of electrostatic sensor is established on the basis of point charge, and its numerical solution is studied. The effects of structural parameters (such as sizes of electrodes, etc) and location distribution of flowing particles in the sensing field of the new electrostatic sensor are investigated systematically. A theoretical basis for the performance improvement and design optimization of the sensor are provided.
