Employ ability of R&D Personnel in Era of Boundaryless Career

With the coming of boundaryless career era, substantial changes have occurred in psychological contract between employers and employee. Instead of obtaining long-term or even lifelong employment guarantee through their loyalty, employees change to get sustained employability through their work performance. Based on empirical studies, this paper proposes and verifies an employability model of R&D personnel in boundaryless career era. In this model, we evaluate the employability of R&D personnel through nine KPls, namely (in descending sequence of priorities), adaptive capacity, willpower, innovation capability, specialized skills, team spirit, healthy fitness, self-learning ability, self-cognition and communication skills. The empirical research shows that there is no significant difference in gender except for specialized skills and team workmanship.
