CCS: Coals Biggest Challenge

Coal,next to oil,is the second most important energy source due to wide distribution and large quantity.Coal is a very economical fuel about S0.50/GJ - S2.50/GJ (NG usually is $6/GJ - $12/GJ.Currently it is S4.03/GJ for July,2011 delivery).It is the largest fuel source for power generation: 40％ world electricity is generated by coal;its shares are about 80％ in China and 50％ in the U.S.An extensive coal based energy infrastructure has been built up over the years and is in good service.
