Burning of high-ash Ekibastuz coal in the boiler furnace of 300-500 MW power units
The paper discusses combustion of Ekibastuz black coal in pulverized-coal fired boilers operating in 300-500 MW power units.Main technical solutions related to modernization of combustion system of PK39 and P-57 boilers manufactured by JSC MachineBuilding Factory of Podolsk to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions down to ≤600 mg/nm3 (at normal conditions and O2=6%).Correctness of these technical solutions is justified by 3D simulation of combustion process.
