MESH GENERATION OF NOMEX HONEYCOMB MATERIAL
The aim in this paper is to discuss the geometrical modelling of a Nomex honeycomb material using the concept of near-regular textures.The starting point is a scanned image of a representative cellular structure,which is processed to get for the texture description a structural unit and mappings.These can be taken as a concise description or recipe of a material having microstructure.Then multiple samples with the same statistics but slightly different geometry can be generated from a single scanned sample.
