EFFECTIVE MODULUS OF NANO-PARTICLE COMPOSITES WITH DIFFERENT PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTIONS
A combination of the differential scheme and a mapping method is applied to predict the effective modulus of nano-composites with d:.Terent particle size distribution.The nano-particles with interface effect are replaced with common particles resort to an energy equivalency approach.Both discrete and continuous particle size distributions are analyzed.As a numerical example,lognormal distribution is analyzed in this paper.The results demonstrate that the effective elastic properties of nano-composites are particle size distribution dependent
