FRACTURE ANALYSIS OF NONHOMOGENEOUS MATERIALS USING AN INTERACTION INTEGRAL METHOD

For nonhomogeneous media without body force, the interaction integral method developed by Yu et al.1 has become a promising technique for evaluating the stress intensity factors (SIFs) since it does not contain any term related to the derivatives of material properties and its validity is not affected by material interfaces. In this paper, the interaction integral method with these advantages is extended for a nonhomogeneous media under body force. Finally, the interaction integral method is employed to analyze the influences of Poissons ratio on the SIFs.
