Competitive Intelligence for Small-and-Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Globalization of Trade
The number of Small-and-Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) grows rapidly in China.They compete for information in the globalization of trade.As gaining a competitive advantage presents an enormous challenge for them, more and more SMEs are aware of the importance of Competitive Intelligence (CD.In this paper, we first define CI and then introduce the history and trend of CI research in China and abroad. The benefits and importance of CI to SMEs are discussed in the second section.In the third section, we analyze the status quo of CI for SMEs in China and their strategies.In the fourth section, we propose several detailed procedures on how to setup an effective CI system for SMEs.Finally, we conclude the paper.
