Simulation of Melting Infiltration Process of Phase Change Material in Fiber Porous Ceramic

According to the similarity of the infiltration continuous equation and the thermal conductivity differential equations, the infiltration model of molten salt to fiber porous ceramic is designed by using Fluent software. The results can reflect the actual process of melting infiltration. Furthermore, the influences of different infiltration ways on infiltration process, with the same volume but different radius pillar, are simulated. It is found that infiltration time can be shortened for pillar fibers porous ceramics with same volume. When increasing the radius, horizontal infiltration is superior to vertical infiltration for pillar fibers porous ceramics when √π·r2/h<1 and vice versa.
