Protective Effects of Agaricus bisporus Against Cancer and Metabolic Diseases

Studies from this and other laboratories have found that white button mushrooms ( WBM) (Agaricus bisporus) contain mycochemicals that can protect us against several types of cancer and metabolic diseases. In this short review, we briefly summarize the findings on both edible and medicinal mushrooms against these diseases. We also include important updates of our WBM research projects.
