The Study on the Effects of Mixed Audio Frequencies of Music and Insect Chirping on Mushroom Growth
This study was aimed at observing the effects of audio frequencies on the growth, yields and nutrient components of mushrooms. A self-designed audio player was used to play mixed audio frequencies of music and insect chirping for 7 experiments of acoustic waves growth promotion effects on the mycelium of Agrocybe cylindracea, Pleurotus comcopiae var. hightemperature resistant, Pleurotus sp, Pleurotus eryngii, Pleurotus pulmonarius and Pleurocybella poprrigens, as well as 4 experiments of mixed audio frequencies impact on the fruit bodies of Pleurotus corucopiae, Pleurotus sp. and Pleurotus corucopiae 18. The results showed that mixed audio frequencies could accelerate the growth of the mushroom mycelium by 10.2% ~21% ,make the fruiting and harvesting advanced by 1-5 days and extend the harvesting period, and the yields in the 4 fruiting experiments were increased by 15. 76% , 13. 38% , 13. 05% and 7. 95% respectively. The comparisons of nutrient components in the fruit bodies of 2 species showed that fats, proteins and polysaccharides of Pleurotus corucopiae 18 were increased by 5. 88% ,8. 74% and 2. 78% respectively; proteins and polysaccharides of Pleurotus sp. were increased by 2. 37% and 43.27%. This study laid a scientific foundation for the extension and application of acoustic waves growth promotion practices.
