Experimental Study of Rice Cracking during Tempering Period of Rice Drying at Low Temperature with Far Infrared Rays

This thesis carried out experimental study of rice cracking during tempering period of rice drying at low temperature with far infrared rays. In this investigation, the difference of rice cracking was the main parameter to be calculated based on the experimental measurements of impact factors, i.e. tempering temperature, tempering time, and drying time, which resulted in a theoretical model described with a mathematic regression equation. Analyses with single-factor and double-factor effects indicated the numerical relationship between the difference of rice cracking and the impact factors, which ensured the determination of the selection of the optimal impact factors.
